About Me

Heyoo!! My name is Tatum and I am sure you and I have a few things in common - love for the ocean, the sunshine, and/or an adventure. Each piece is created to resonate with these passions within us. I have always tried to create ocean inspired pieces that felt unique and one-of-a-kind. A piece that can invoke curiosity. Using real pieces of nature is such an exciting way to do this.  I scan the beaches and snorkel the shallows to find all shells that I create with. Each shell has its own unique pattern, shape, and story. These differences make each piece fit the criteria of uniqueness. I enjoy sharing information or connection with others when conversation sparks from my jewerly. Things like memories, fun facts, or mutual interests can bring us all together.

I was born and raised on the west coast of Florida, where nature—especially the ocean—has always been a huge part of my life. I have always wanted to stay connected to the tides. Cay Co. and pursuing my marine biology degree has made this dream possible. I plan to share information regarding local oceans and how we can do our part in ocean conservation. Sustainable shelling is an obvious choice. Beach combers should never keep anything living or housing a living specimen. I also only keep shells that will serve a purpose whether for enjoyment or for my jewelry. If shells end up not being used I return them to the beaches. When beach combing I will NOT pass by any piece of trash without picking it up and neither should you! Small acts add up 🤍

Welcome to Cay Coastal. Each piece designed to carry the sea close to you and to embrace beauty of individuality.
